Transmitting Spirit Through Ink, Nurturing Talent Through Art: The 2026 Shin Zu Shing Cup Calligraphy Competition Concludes Successfully

On August 1, 2026, the finals and awards ceremony of the "Shin Zu Shing Cup New Taipei City Junior High and Elementary School Calligraphy Competition" concluded with great success at Danfeng Elementary School in Xinzhuang District!

We extend our sincere appreciation to the New Taipei City Calligraphy Association for their dedicated organization, as well as to the judges, teachers, parents, and volunteers for their steadfast support. At the final venue, young calligraphers concentrated deeply with every stroke, demonstrating solid foundational mastery. Their regular script (Kaishu) was balanced, poised, and full of vitality, reflecting their dedication and passion for traditional calligraphy and highlighting the impressive competence of the younger generation.

Calligraphy is a treasured gem of Chinese cultural heritage, carrying thousands of years of literary lineage within each stroke. In an era where AI is advancing rapidly, the human warmth of handwriting becomes all the more precious—every stroke and flourish originates from the calligrapher’s spontaneous harmony of heart and hand, representing a unique imprint that no advanced technology can replicate. Upholding its commitment to cultivating local roots and giving back to society, Shin Zu Shing provides tangible resources to support the preservation of handwriting arts. We aspire to encourage students to connect with calligraphy, enrich their aesthetic literacy, and help cultural seeds take firm root in the hearts of the next generation.

Congratulations to all award-winning and shortlisted students, and heartfelt thanks to every participant. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
